I’d spotted the Manuka Doctor range a few times in Holland
and Barratt and was always intrigued by a brand that was using purified bee
venom. I’ve also heard that Millie from Made In Chelsea is quite the fan and
her skin is gorgeous! So when I was offered the chance to try some of the
products from the range I jumped at the chance. I received the apinourish
repairing skin cream with UMF 18+ manuka and the apinourish repairing skin mask
with UMF 18+ manuka which I’ll be doing a review of later this week.
Here’s what the blurb says...
“Patented formulation Manuka Doctor’s Skin Repair Cream
provides an escape from skin troubles. Purified Bee Venom renowned for its
anti-bacterial, anti-wrinkle and regenerating properties. UMF 18+ Manuka Honey
unique to New Zealand and known for its anti-bacterial benefits.”
So far I’ve only been using this at night time in place of
my Murad Anti-Blemish Wrinkle Reducer Serum (as it’s recently run out). I use
it as a serum, leave it to sink into my skin for a good five minutes then apply
my Avene Clearance K moisturiser on top of it.
It’s worked out really well so far, working just as well if
not better than my Murad serum so I’m pretty chuffed with the results. My skins
been behaving itself really well at the moment and I’ve noticed that my
blemishes have reduced dramatically and my skin just looks and feels a lot
smoother.
The cream doesn’t have a strong smell to it at all, not one
that I can detect anyway and the pump dispenser is handy as one pump is enough
to do my full face and neck.
As I said at the start you can buy this from Holland &
Barratt for £24.99 which for a serum I don’t think is too bad. It’s a hella
lotta cheaper than my Murad serum, nearly half price for that matter so I’m
more than happy with my new little find!
Have you tried any Manuka Doctor products before? Are there
any that are on your wish list?
