My favourite beauty product of the year so far may not be what you'd expect from a beauty blogger but I've fallen head over heels with these little oil blotting sheets from Kleenex. I got a small sample of five of the sheets in my ASOS premier magazine and I really wasn't expecting them to be anything special so just chucked them in my bag to try out as and when needed.

I've always had a thing against oil blotting sheets. I can't stand the ones that have powder on. I just think they feel really chalky and not that nice to use so when I used the Kleenex ones which literally soaked up the excess oil on my skins surface I was seriously impressed!

They really do take away the shine and make your skin look lovely and matte without a the powdery, chalky texture. I probably use one of these every 4-5 hours to ensure my face stays shine free! I've used them on all of my friends and even a few co-workers and every person has been amazed at the sheet after they've used it. It is a bit gross but it just shows they work I guess!

The only bug bear I have with these Kleenex blotting sheets is that they are a nightmare to find. I've tried the big Superdrug in Manchester and the big one in the Trafford Centre at least twice now and they're nowhere to be seen! I can't seem to hunt the little buggers down, it's very frustrating. I've been told they are in Tesco but again, they aren't in my local big Tesco either. Nightmare. You can buy them off the Superdrug website but you have to pay £3-4 postage making the postage more expensive than the blummin sheets! If you've seen them in any shops around the Manchester area or know an online shop where the postage is cheap please let me know as I'm seriously running low on them now and can't be without them!

Overall, a fab little product and handbag essential (if you can find it) that I've loved using and will continue to hunt down!

  1. I love these too. Great for us oily types. I got mine half price in Tesco although I wish I'd bulk bought them now lol
