Benefit Cabana Glama Kit

Thursday, 12 April 2012

At the Benefit Hello Flawless event I went to a couple of Sunday's ago I received one of these super cute kits in our goody bags. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now so thought I would share my thoughts! It's a relatively new product from benefit and they say it's the perfect kit to keep you looking gorgeously glowing all year round.

Packaging

The packaging is cute and quirky, as is the case with all Benefit cosmetics, and I'm sure it would brighten up anyone's day! I especially  love the yellow and blue together - very tropical!

Price

It retails at £28.50 and is available from the Benefit cosmetics website (link!) I do think this is slightly expensive and personally it's not something I would pay £28.50 for. I think it's worth around the £20-25 mark myself.

Products

Some Kind Of Gorgeous Foundation Faker For Medium Complexions 3.5g

This was one of my very first make up purchases when I was younger and as far as I'm aware quite a few others too! It's easy to apply but I feel it has a very oily texture to it so wouldn't use it on my already oily skin.

Hoola Bronzing Powder 4g

A nice bronzer that gives a nice glow without looking too orangey. I've never been a fan of the brushes that come with benefit powders so opted for my own large sigma powder brush to dust it over my cheeks and forehead.

Positint Cheek & Lip Stain 2.5ml

I love positint. I much prefer it to the red version and feel it gives a lovely flushed look to the cheeks. I also love this on lips but I just wish it had a bit more staying power.

Eyeshadow Palette - Peach Fuzz, Bronze Buzz and Cocoa Pizzazz

All beautiful neutral shades that are sure to look utterly gorgeous on anyone's lids!

Verdict

Overall this is a really cute kit from Benefit that I feel most people would love to receive. If I were to give it as a gift personally then I'd probably give it to a teenage girl as I think the products would suit a teenager well.

I love benefit cosmetics! What's your favourite one?

  1. I love the Some Kind of Gorgeous which I was not expecting to like at all! My least fave in this is the Hoola, it actually looks like I've smeared chocolate on my pale pale cheeks.

  2. I used to use the foundation stuff - it lasts hardly any time at all and cost quite a bit so I've never used it again - it's not worth it at all.

  3. Looks lovely, considered buying this a few times but realized it's a bit too much for my pale skin!
