Boots No7 Midnight Collection

Saturday, 5 November 2011

The hotly anticipated No7 Christmas collection hit stores on Wednesday and I've been lucky enough to get my hands on it.

The range has been designed by my idol, Lisa Eldridge, who says the 'Midnight Enchantment' collection was inspired by Tim Burton and his films. There's a lovely mixture of crimsons and deep plum as well a a health dose of festive sparkle!

Midnight Enchantment Stay Perfect Nail Colours (Glitterbomb & Grey Matter) £7/9ml

Everything I would expect in terms of quality from a No7 Nail Varnish. I adore both shades and both are equally wearable making hard to pick a favourite. Glitterbomb reminds me of Revlon's facets of fuschia minus the large glitter pieces. Grey Matter looks stunning on short square nails and will see you right through winter season.

Midnight Enchantment Lipstick (Winter Berry) £10/3.5g

Such a beautiful shade but initially I wasn't sure if I could pull this off as I thought it might be a tad too dark for my fair skin. It's a cross between  deep plum and crimson with a lovely delicate shimmer. I also like that it's quite glossy and because of this you can apply it as light or as dark as you wish!

Midnight Enchantment Eyeshadow Stick (Metallic Grey & Metallic Purple) £10.50/1.64g

I love these creamy eye shadow sticks. They glide on absolutely effortlessly and also blend like a dream. Again, as with the nail varnishes, I can't pick my favourite as both shades are stunningly gorgeous. I wore Metallic Grey today and (without primer) it lasted the whole day.

Midnight Enchantment Blusher £13/10g

I saw this a while back on the British Beauty Blogger's blog and I knew I'd love it. The three shades of pink create a beautiful flush when swirled together and applied to the cheekbones. The lighter white shade can also be used as extra highlighter for those that want to lift and contour the face more. I can see this suiting anyone, it's just so lovely!

Midnight Enchantment Eye Palette £13/7.2g

My favourite piece from the collection. The lighter shades have a lovely shimmer to them and blended really easily. The darker shades were a little bit harder to use but once blended they created a lovely sultry and smokey effect.

The whole range is beautiful and Lisa Eldridge and her team have yet again outdone themselves. The packaging is so 'enchantingly beautiful' to use No7's terms that I didn't want to throw it away! If you have a spare No7 £5 voucher I really recommend treating yourself to a few pieces from this collection. They'd also make a special Christmas stocking filler!
